Damon left the dishes in the sink again last night
Can't let it go, my Mum's voice in my head
The others stayed out at the club, didn't feel much like it
I went to bed instead

The essay's due on Friday, COB, yeah right

Still got lots of books to read, too much noise around me
I'll have to leave the flat

Dad'll be on the road, Mum'll be at the shop

Is this prac important or just a wank
It could be all generic skills
Or crucial, basic, fundamental, just what you need
I think I'd better rest

I bet you Jenny goes, I'll get the notes from her
What's plagiarism's hard to tell
I could get the marks myself without a lot of effort
If I had more time to work

The test was hard, Friday's closed without me
Dr C was nice, but said … no way
There's only one way out of this that I can see
I want to leave it all behind me

Dad'll be at the station, Mum'll be in the car
I wonder what they'll think of me.
